Maternal and perinatal death rates remain a major challenge in Namibia. Some women in Namibia continue to die while some are left with long-term complications emanating from pregnancy and childbirth-related causes. It is for this reason, the Minister of Health and Social Services Dr Kalumbi Shangula launched the National Guidelines, Antenatal Care for a Positive Pregnancy Experience and Maternity Record in Windhoek today.
