Health Ministry to release 1 200 people from quarantine at Henties Bay Isolation Facility

About 1 200 people currently kept at the Henties Bay Isolation Facility, for the past two months, are soon to be released. Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services Dr Utjiua Muinjangue made this announcement at Walvis Bay. Muinjangue said, "we have our brothers and sisters who have been kept in quarantine in Henties Bay, we are happy as a ministry to announce that they will be released and we understand that many of them are also from this area." Dr Muinjangue urged the community to "welcome the people back in society and not stigmatise them". She added, "they are fine we should not chase them away, they will not do any harm at all, this is important to mention so that you don't run away when you see them." After months of studies since COVID-19 was detected, it was established that after a period of about 14 days the virus cannot be transmitted.
