Incomplete Government projects in the Kavango East Region is depriving residents of their basic human rights. Despite millions of dollars allocated under the drought relief programme to drill and install boreholes, residents still have no clean water within their reach while the council's progress report shows inconsistencies. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Habitat, which visited the region, to assess progress on these projects funded under the 2019/20 financial year has now issued a stern directive.
