India's President says his country will work closely with Namibia in the fight against COVID-19. In a well-wishing letter to President Hage Geingob, Ram Nath Kovind said the two countries are cooperating on the accessibility of COVID-19 vaccines. India is the second country to have donated vaccines to Namibia, after China, early this year with 30 000 Covishield doses. The Indian President says there is still more to be done by the two countries to tackle the challenges posed by the pandemic on health, social and economic fronts. India is currently battling a third wave of the virus, with more than 114 000 new cases recorded on Sunday and 2 677 deaths also reported.
