The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) have announced plans to again challenge the outcome of the 2019 elections in the wake of revelations that the SWAPO party received millions of dollars through the government objective fishing quotas. Former Chief Executive Officer of Fishcor Mike Nghipunya, during his bail hearing, alleged that a horse mackerel quota of 18 000 metric tonnes worth about N$44 million was allocated to SWAPO. However, the party's leadership, including President Hage Geingob have denied any knowledge of payments made to SWAPO.
