Jason Iyambo jailed for nine months for attempting to bribe an ACC investigator

The Windhoek Magistrate's Court has sentenced Jason Iyambo to nine months imprisonment, for attempting to bribe an employee of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) investigating the Fishrot scandal. Iyambo offered the official N$250 000 in exchange for bank cards belonging to Fishrot accused James Hatuikulipi. Iyambo was imprisoned for 18 months, of which nine months are suspended for five years, on condition that he is not convicted of defeating or obstructing the course of justice. He was arrested in January this year and had been in custody since then.
