Public Enterprises Minister, Leon Jooste has denied that the settlement between Belgian company, Challenge Air and Air Namibia is being used as an excuse to liquidate the national airline. The two companies reached an agreement last month for Air Namibia to pay N$107 million as a first installment next week. The payments are part of the N$333 million to be paid for the leasing of a passenger plane, a Boeing 767 from Challenge Air.
