COVID-19 has negatively affected the smooth implementation of a pilot project aimed at reducing the backlog of cases and Oshakati and Windhoek magistrate's courts. The cases in question have been running for a period exceeding 12 months. Approximately 24 000 cases, in both regional and districts courts, remain unresolved. This was revealed at an annual Magistrate's Conference, in Windhoek.
