The Katire Family from the Ohorongo Totem recently ignited their holy fire known as Okuruwo in Okamaruru near Okondjatu. A Divine Priest, Hiyameriro Vyakondo, a patriarchal leader who initiates the ignition of the Sacred Shrine, says this is symbolic of a torch being handed over from one person to another.
