The delay in clearing a two-hector of land reserved for the burials of COVID-19 related deaths due to dispute over ownership, will now cost the Kavango East Regional Council more than N$700 000, instead of N$30 000. The increase in the amount is because of a long standing time of the earth moving equipment the construction company hired and which were at the site without idle, for 48 days.
