Lack of information and collateral are the two biggest obstacles preventing youth and women from accessing loans from the Agricultural Bank of Namibia (AgriBank) says the lender's spokesperson. AgriBank manager of marketing and communication, Rino Muranda emphasised that historically loans were heavily skewed towards elderly men, who are not only risky from a business perspective but also discriminates against youth and women. He said this at Baumgarsbrun, where Agribank had an information session on its programmes.
