The Keetmanshoop Municipality says lack of skilled staff in its finance department and the migration of financial systems are among the reasons for gross misstatements and potential fraud as contained in the Auditor-General's report for the year ended June 2017. This emerged at the public hearing held at Keetmanshoop by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on accounts and economy.
