Namibia's formal economy is being overtaken by the informal sector which now stands at close to 60% of all business. According to a baseline study by the Labour Resource and Research Institute (LaRRI), those in the informal economy are employed under risky conditions, work without contracts and medical aid is considered nothing but a pipe dream.
