The Namibian Police have dismissed claims that some officers are consuming alcohol confiscated from the public. The Police have been cracking down on alcohol trade and consumption countrywide since the beginning of the state of emergency. An unspecified amount of booze has been confiscated between April and May, through raids and tip-offs and stored under Pol-7 at the Police facilities.
