The Mariental Municipality has warned residents of the southern town to take precautionary measures against possible flooding. On its Facebook page, the municipality says the inflow into the Hardap Dam is expected to take the dam to 70% and releases are likely to occur. The dam is presently at 65.1% and rainfall is further forecasted during the next 24 hours.
