The current global economic downturn and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic have negatively impacted economies around the world and Namibia's agricultural sector has not been spared. Minister of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform, Calle Schletwein said this at the Market-Led Agricultural Conference in Windhoek. The minister says that most challenges faced by Namibia are because Namibia's agriculture sector lags far behind in the application of modern agricultural production and processing facilities.
