More than 700 cadet constables have begun 12 months of police basic training, at Ondangwa in the Oshana Region. Police basic training for cadet constables was initially conducted over a period of three months, but it has now been extended to 12 months to provide trainees with adequate and proper policing skills to effectively enforce the law.
