Most schools in Windhoek have opened for face-to-face tuition

Most schools in Windhoek have opened for face-to-face tuition after the postponement of the initial starting date amid a surge in new COVID-19 infections. Jan Jonker Afrikaner Secondary School principal, Jason Johaness, says the school have become to implementing the COVID-19 health measures last year. He says the additional measures will be incorporated smoothly into existing ones. Goreangab Secondary School was caught in a meeting a day before schools opened when the NBC team arrived there on Monday. However, a general tour of that school and others in the capital showed clear markings for social distancing, more taps and several other visible measures aimed at enforcing spacing, sanitation and other COVID-19 regulations.
