Constable Gilbert Owoseb, who is charged with the murder of a fellow police officer, Sergeant Nestor Usebui, was today denied bail during his first appearance in the Katutura Magistrate's Court. The 28-year-old Owoseb reportedly fatally shot Usebui in the head at a bar in Katutura on Friday. Defence Lawyer Jermaine Muchali said Constable Owoseb sustained injuries but no photographs or blood samples had been taken up to date. The defence lawyer urgently requested for the photographs and blood samples to be taken adding that the injuries will fade as the days progress. Muchali also asked for Owoseb to be kept at the Seeis police station since he is a police officer.
