When thinking of the oldest desert in the world, the Namib, people are usually reminded of an extreme eco-region consisting of shifting sand dunes, gravel plains and rugged mountains. But after some good rains in January, the Namib Desert's landscape appears to have gotten a magical makeover. Trimo Herbst visited the Namib and brings us this special report.
