Namibia will mark World Food Day next week Saturday at Utuseb, a settlement about 40km from Walvis Bay in the Namib Desert. Coastal companies including Namibian Ports Authority (Namport) and Rossing, as well as government ministries and private farmers, have so far donated N$300 000 worth of food towards the celebrations.
