Namibia commemorates International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

Nearly half of Namibia's population live in poverty, and 43,3% of Namibians live in multi-dimensional poverty. The United Nations Development Programme Country Representative, Alka Bhatia remarked this at the commemoration of International Day for the Eradication of Poverty in Windhoek. The day aims to raise awareness of the need to eradicate poverty and destitution around the world, particularly in developing countries.
