Namibia will host the 10th Session of the Namibia-Zambia Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation (JCC) this week. During the JCC, the two countries are expected to review the implementation of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding covering a wide range of sectors including trade and commerce, agriculture, fisheries, transport and infrastructure, education and training, youth, sport and culture, amongst others. The majority of these agreements affect the livelihood of people living along the common border, and the JCC will afford both countries the opportunity to further strengthen their bilateral cooperation as well as exchange views on issues of mutual interest at the regional and multilateral fora. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, will co-chair the commission and lead the Namibian delegation, while Stanley Kakubo, Zambia's Minister of Foreign Affairs International Cooperation, will lead the Zambian delegation.
