The informal sector is responsible for some of Africa's fastest growing economies in countries like Nigeria and Tanzania. Even though this sector makes up 60% of the employed population in Namibia, it has been described as the breeding ground for inequality. Namibia, therefore, wants to come up with a strategy to regulate activities related to the informal economy.
