Minister of Health Dr Kalumbi Shangula today announced that Namibia has two more COVID-19 positive cases, bringing the total to 31 cases, with 16 recoveries. Case number 30 is a 27-year-old Namibian student who travelled from India by air and South Africa by bus, on 25 May, with nine other Namibians. She was quarantined at Grunau since 25 May. Case number 31, a 50-year-old Namibian female also travelled from India and South Africa with case number 30. She was tested on 6 June. She is in satisfactory condition. So far, 4 943 samples were tested. Currently, 737 people are in quarantine facilities countrywide. Shangula said case number 22 is still in ICU is in stable condition and showing positive respiratory dynamics. He made the announcement at the daily update at the COVID-19 Communication Centre.
