Namibia vowed to become a climate pioneer at the COP26 conference in Glasgow, Scotland by moving away from fossil fuels to renewable energy and in return significantly decreasing emissions. However, Mines and Energy Minister, Tom Alweendo says transitions such as these take time and need proper planning to avoid serious disappointments.
