Namibia welcomes progress made by UN towards achieving technological innovation in Education - !Aochamub

Namibia's permanent delegate to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) says the country welcomes progress the UN agency has made towards achieving technological innovation in education. Albertus !Aochamub says conditions imposed by present and future pandemics on education require greater technological innovation for online and distance learning. He says UNESCO should consider inter-linkages of long-term plans with ethical issues that arise from the use of information technology. !Aochamub says it is crucial to ensure rights-based approaches that anchor on the preservation of human rights and dignity. He says UNESCO's International Basic Science Programme is critically relevant to many developing nations. The Namibian permanent delegate to the UN agency says it should harness experiences across all its thematic areas with appropriate budgetary support. He was speaking in Paris during the 211th Session of the UNESCO Executive Board. He is also Namibia's ambassador to France.
