Namibian Correctional Service marred by mass resignations

The Namibian Correctional Service (NCS) is marred by mass resignations of officers over claims that government is bankrupt due to current economic headwinds. NCS Commissioner-General, Raphael Hamunyela says the resignations are further influenced by how much their pension funds have grown over the years with the Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF). A total of 87 Namibian Correctional Service officers, resigned this year in search for greener pastures.
