Government has built many hero sites such as the Heroes Acre, in honour of the fallen heroes and heroines, but not all liberation icons can get a place in the Heroes Acre. Naming streets after liberation heroes is one way considered befitting to pay homage to men and women who sacrificed for the independence of Namibia.
