NAMPOL arrest nine suspects in connection with armed robberies at a shopping mall and Agra in Okahandja

The Namibian Police have arrested nine suspects in connection with armed robberies at a shopping mall and Agra in Okahandja. A 49-year-old Namibian male suspect linked to the Agra armed robbery was arrested at Okahandja's 5 Rand location after blood was found in the silver hatchback polo he was driving. Two more male suspects were later arrested with one having sustained a gunshot wound in the shoulder. Furthermore, another four male suspects were arrested in Okahandja for the same crime. Agra was robbed of over N$500 000 on Sunday, and the suspects sped away in a silver Volkswagen hatchback. Police caution that armed robberies are on the increase and that criminals no longer only target shopping centres and businesses but individuals too.
