The Namibian Police will in four days extradite a Belarusian fugitive wanted in her home country for theft and corruption. Viktoryia Tsunik will be handed over to officials from her country, who will arrive in Namibia tomorrow. She was arrested in the coastal town of Walvis Bay in November last year. Belarusian authorities say Tsunik has been on the run from Belarus after she became a suspect in a case of theft by force or alternatively corruption involving an equivalent of N$2,2 million. Tsunik is also listed on the Interpol wanted person's list. She was sentenced in absentia in Belarus to more than five years in prison. Tsunik will be handed over to the Belarusian authorities at the Hosea Kutako International Airport and extradited back home to serve her prison term.
