The Namibia Revenue Agency-NamRA has introduced a new system to lessen disputes or delays when goods are cleared at entry points. The Advance Ruling System, on classification, value and origin of goods can influence the price an importer is willing to pay a foreign supplier or the price at which the importer resells the goods. It also provides importers with a prior value of what they will pay in import taxes for specific goods during clearance.
