Namibia National Students Organisation (NANSO) activists call for Ignatius Shixwameni to be recognised as a national hero. NANSO activists believe late Ignatius Shixwameni deserves national hero status for his role during the struggle for liberation and the demand to transform the education sector before independence. Many paid tribute to Shixwameni at a memorial service at his residence in Windhoek.
