The three Nchindo brothers, who were killed by the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) while fishing along the Chobe River, were buried at Impalila Island along with their mother. Mourners from the Zambezi Region gathered in large numbers at the Impalila Island to pay their last respects to the three slain Nchindo brothers and their mother who died of a heart attack.
