Okongo San Community calls on incoming councillors to plough their mahangu fields on time

Members of the San Community from Onamatadiva Village, in the Okongo Constituency, say they will vote in the upcoming elections, on condition that the incoming councilors will always plough their mahangu fields on time, for them to take advantage of the rainy season as early as possible. Four elders of the community told NBC News that the reason why they get poor harvest is because of the late ploughing and as a result, they end up being labelled as lazy people who only survive on handouts. One of the elders, Cilia Handaba says as the San Community they are not lazy neither do they want to survive on handouts as long as ploughing is done on time.
