Organisers of Kora Music Awards ordered to pay back more than N$23 million in public funds

Judge Herman Oosthuizen has ordered organisers of the 2016 Kora All Africa Music awards, to pay back more than N$23 million in public funds that was meant for hosting the failed 2016 Kora All Africa Music awards in Namibia. The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) brought an application before the High Court to recover the money paid to Cote d'Ivoire based businessmen, Ernest Adjovi, Tonata Shiimi, and Mundial Telecom in 2015, meant to promote Namibia. They however disappeared after receiving the money.
