The Oshakati State Hospital’s management has launched an investigation of alleged misconduct carried out by three nurses against a patient and has resolved to move the trio to a non-clinical department, where they will have no direct contact with patients while the investigation is conducted. This follows after a video of an elderly female patient, believed to be a 71-year-old, being slapped by a nurse, after she refused to take her medication, went viral yesterday. The elderly woman is said to have been admitted to the hospital in a confused state on 15 March.
