More than 200 applicants who applied for fishing rights have been allocated quotas. Seventy-one per cent of this number are newcomers, while the remaining 29% are those whose fishing rights expired, but were renewed due to significant investments made in terms of infrastructure and job creation. The Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Dr Albert Kawana announced it at the communication centre.
