Over 8 000 accidents were recorded on Namibian roads from January 2020 to 15 November 2020. The 8 437 accidents caused 193 deaths, 574 serious injuries and 915 slight injuries. The National Road Safety Council, Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA), NAMPOL and other stakeholders have, therefore, launched the 2020 Festive Season Campaign at the Swakopmund roadblock to reduce accidents. MVA senior manager for accident and injury prevention, Sydney Boois uses a card illustration as part of road user education, a focus area for the campaign. The campaign ends on 15 January 2021.
