A social media post by Affirmative Repositioning (AR), Chief Activist Dr Job Amupanda has prompted an immediate reaction from the National Assembly (NA). Amupanda on his social media pages accused Parliament of corruption and covering up corrupt practices. In response to Amupanda's allegations Parliament confirmed that over $1.2 million was misappropriated by three staffers at the August House. A letter released by the Information Division of the House says that two employees who have been found to misappropriate funds have since resigned, while one was fired after the theft was uncovered. Amupanda warned and cautioned Parliament to come clean in five days. The National Assembly accused Amupanda of spreading misinformation, and stated that Parliament does not “cover-up, nor condone corrupt activities.”
