Another pensioner has been robbed and murdered at Swakopmund, Vineta. 80-year-old Lupfel Axel was discovered on Friday evening in his bedroom by his two friends, who went to look for him after his phone went unanswered the previous night. Police say Axel's body was found on the floor next to his bed, with hands and feet tied up with shoelaces, and his mouth stuffed with a piece of clothing. During the preliminary investigation, the police observed two footprints that entered the yard and a broken window, which the police believe the suspects used to gain entrance to the house. A red Chevrolet Aveo sedan, safe, flatscreen TV and camera, are missing from the house. The suspects are unknown at this stage. The police are however tracing the deceased's next of kin in South Africa.
