Police in the Otjozondjupa Region intensified the manhunt for armed robbers who dashed off with over N$180 000 at Okakarara's Shoprite Usave supermarket this morning. This was confirmed by Namibian Police regional spokesperson, Maureen Mbeha. Mbeha says five robbers approached a cash transport vehicle while security was loading the money to go deposit at the bank. Okakarara police were then alerted to the crime and gave pursuit of the vehicle. Mbeha says one suspect was arrested after being found with an undisclosed amount of money in the Okakarara area. The other four are still on the run. Reinforcement has been brought in from Osire and Otjozondjupa regional police headquarters. A police helicopter is also doing aerial searching for the suspects.
