The Namibian Police have issued a stern warning to refugees hosted at Osire camp, to refrain from selling COVID-19 relief food. The police confiscated food items, particularly maize that were being sold by the beneficiaries at Windhoek. The refugees have not been charged for now, but Police say the donated food items cannot be sold, especially during this crucial time. The police are consulting the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration to decide on the way forward for the confiscated bags of maize.
