President Hage Geingob and First Lady Monica Geingos have been cleared of COVID-19. Press Secretary Alfredo Hengari says Dr Geingob and First Lady Geingos' latest test results have returned negative, but they remain in isolation in order to make full recovery. The Head of State and his wife tested positive for COVID-19 last week, and they were experiencing mild symptoms at the time. The Presidency says measures taken to put the First Couple on a path to recovery have been successful with both testing negative for the viral disease. The Protocol and Security Personnel have in the meantime tested negative for COVID-19. Dr Hengari could not divulge when the Head of State would resume duties at the office, but he notes that the President and First Lady are working from their residence in Windhoek. Meanwhile, three State House employees from Administration and Police divisions have died from COVID-19 recently, and five others are infected with COVID-19. The employees concerned have not been in contact with the President and his wife.
