President Hage Geingob has declared the election day for the Regional Council and Local Authority elections a public holiday, Information and Communication Technology Minister, Dr Peya Mushelenga has indicated. Mushelenga made the remarks following the 18th Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. He says, they have been inundated with queries on the status of the day by individuals and organisations, whether or not a public holiday will be declared by Geingob. There are six days before the election day which Mushelenga says provides ample time for planning.
