President Hage Geingob has expressed condolences to the Belgian government and families of people killed in floods that hit the European nation. More than 150 people have been confirmed dead, following the devastating rainfall that caused dams to burst and rivers to overflow into towns across western Germany, Belgium, as well as parts of the Netherlands, Switzerland and northern France. President Geingob, in a letter to King Philippe of Belgium, described the tragedy as sad and expressed confidence in efforts by the Belgian government to rescue and provide relief to those affected by the disaster.
