President Hage Geingob has requested the security cluster to put in place all necessary measures to ensure that road fatalities are kept to a minimum. Dr Geingob said this as he expressed condolences to the families of the 15 people who died following the horrific accident between Okahandja and Otjiwarongo on Friday morning. He said that it was saddening for the nation to be confronted with the news of lives lost in preventable road accidents at a time when the country is fighting COVID-19, especially the Omicron variant.
