President Hage Geingob has expressed condolences to the family of the late Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Training, and Innovation Veno Kauaria. Kauaria died of COVID-19 this morning, aged 61. She served in various capacities including Deputy Executive Director in the Ministry of Education and Deputy Chairperson of UNESCO before joining the National Assembly in 2020. In April this year, Kauaria took up the position of Deputy Minister of Higher Education, which she held until her death.
