President Hage Geingob has sent a message of condolences to the family of his former senior aide, Jeffnis Mbako. Mbako died on Tuesday, aged 73. He served as President Geingob's special advisor on community affairs in 2015 till his retirement in 2018. Geingob paid tribute to Mbako, saying he relied on his wisdom and knowledge on Namibian communities. Mbako joined the liberation struggle, working in the transport division of SWAPO in exile. He served in various portfolios after independence, including as special advisor in Government and community development officer and labour advisor for the City of Windhoek.
