President Hage Geingob arrives in Doha

President Hage Geingob has just arrived in Doha, Qatar, where Namibia is set to participate in the 2nd Qatar Economic Forum to be held in that city from June 20 to 22. The Forum brings together global business leaders and heads of state to tackle some of the world's most pressing challenges, through the lens of the Middle East. President Geingob and ministers Iipumbu Shiimi, Tom Alweendo and Director General of the National Planning Commission Obeth Kandjoze are expected to outline the country's position and economic recovery initiatives at the Forum, to engage investors. Forum’s theme ‘Equalising Global Recovery' seeks to draw discussions on the correct management of the post-COVID-19 recovery. Other participating countries include Rwanda, Togo, Georgia, Kenya, and the US to mention a few.
